This Intermediate course explores a variety of advanced painting methods to expand your artistic style through abstract concepts. Over the period of this class, the instructor will demonstrate and guide you through creating your own abstract series. This course includes various powerpoint presentations on abstract artists from the 60's - present . We will work with acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas. This class will challenge your understanding of abstract painting by exploring color through mark making, color mixing and layering to complete your own abstract series.


Supplies: Please bring: acrylic paint brushes (assorted sizes) acrylic paints, spray bottle for water, 3 canvas sizes any brand (30x30in, 24x36in, and 30x40") - you may purchase bigger than sizes listed! paper towels or paint rag
